Lee Pace didn’t burst onto the entertainment scene with the kind of enthusiastic fanfare his current forays tend to generate. However, his indisputable “it-factor” — effortless charisma, subtle authenticity, and a flexible range spanning from sincere to sinister — commanded attention from the start. Pace had only two feature film credits under his belt before his subtle gravitas co-anchored 2006’s The Fall, a sprawling historical epic hailing from writer-director Tarsem‘s visionary mind. Pace’s pedigree gathered steam via small-screen leading roles in ABC’s fantasy rom-com Pushing Daises, AMC’s period drama Halt and Catch Fire, and through haughty supporting turns in spectacle-heavy franchise blockbusters like Guardians of the Galaxy and The Hobbit trilogy. As of 2025, he’s spent three seasons and counting as the main face of Foundation, Apple TV’s futuristic sci-fi parable — and it would be negligent to ignore his involvement in the upcoming Practical Magic sequel.
